stargazing late at night,
i stare shamelessly,
reveling in the wonders
of your radiant flesh.
- - -
i never thought
i'd be able to touch a star.
- - -
shafts of brilliance
ignited behind your eyes,
flared forth in
spasmodically graceful bursts.
fountains of the
clearest, purest blue
gushed forward, blazing love
across the skies.
- - -
they made me wonder,
do stars fall inside my eyes?
- - -
stars lay upon your cheek
when it was over,
subdued, gentle stars that
slipped quietly down your face.
a soft smile, a tender caress,
and a starlit gaze filled
with gratitude, and love.
i had stars on my face too.
